Jane Anderson Spencer ’80

Biography

Jane Anderson Spencer ’80 joined the Office of Advancement as assistant director, major gifts in March 2017. For Jane, it was a return to the office where she started at Carthage back in 1986 as director of alumni and parent relations. During the course of her Carthage career, she served as a first-year advisor in the Student Success Center for 17 years.

Jane was born in Carthage, Illinois, and hails from a Carthage family. Both of her parents, Alan ’50 and Irma (Niekamp) ’48 Anderson, are Carthaginians, as well as her daughter, Annika ’17, son, Erick ’19, sister, brother, and a number of other close relatives.
