CCMUN typically participates in two Model UN conferences a year. Carthage students represent a specific country at each Model United Nations conference. To prepare for these conferences, students must conduct research and learn everything they can about the country they represent as well as certain topics that they will discuss at the conference.

CCMUN attends the American Model UN (AMUN) conference every fall.

CCMUN has also attended a number of international conferences during the Spring semester, including:

  • 2015: The Bucharest International Student Model United Nations (BISMUN) in Bucharest, Romania
  • 2016: The Model United Nations of Universidad de los Andes (MONUA) in Bogotá, Colombia. 2017 and 2023: ScotMUN in Edinburgh, Scotland.
  • 2018: The North American Model United Nations (NAMUN) in Toronto, Canada
  • 2018: The Israeli Model United Nations Association (IMUNA) Conference in Herzliya (near Tel Aviv), Israel.
  • 2019: The Amsterdam University College Model United Nations (AUCMUN) conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
  • 2022: The Barcelona International Model United Nations (BIMUN) conference in Barcelona, Spain.
  • 2024: The London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) conference, England

CCMUN also holds an on-campus fundraiser each spring called Fight Against Apathy. These fundraisers raise campus awareness regarding current international situations. Profits are donated to a charity or non-governmental organization.
